handschoenen

Hello..

Today for once im not that bored while writing. Actually I have to go to bed soon to not get a bad rythm. And why is that? Well if you haven't heard yet, i finally got a job. This job was in my hands 4 months ago too but I turned it down because I thought I would be able to find something a bit closer. It's 1.5h travel time to my work, and that's on the limit for what I can take. For now its going good (or well not really, but I'll get back to that) because the "work" is really nice. What Im doing now is really learning all the products I'm gonna support later on. My role is to help people if they have trouble with our software. The software company is called Adobe and make design products. You might have heard of Adobe Photoshop. Anyways it's training now and its no taking calls or emails just yet. As far as I know the training is gonna be at least 2 more weeks. But its fine cause its nice to know those programs. I will take calls in Swedish, Danish, Norwegian and English. Mostly the first and the last of them. The people using these programs are usually design people within a small company. So I really dont expect people to be totally lost like on the support my friends back in Sweden has while troubleshooting for an internet provider. I have actually taken two calls already. We had a bit of a chaotic start cause the trainer is going on vacation and we were just stationed to listen with the other guys on their calls. So I took a pair of calls and it was fine. People are thankful for the help and really not as annyoing as you might expect.

So I have now worked for one week and I'm still alright. If you didnt know already, we had some nasty weather here thursday (or was it friday). Well, for various reasons (like people beeing tired of their lifes (or just likes to jump in front of trains) and roofs falling down in the train stations) I was late the last two days in this week. Yesterday Lucca's dad actually had to get me with car from Den Haag HS because the train didn't went thru Rijswijk. I was home.. well close to 20:00 I think or even later. But apart from that I like having something to do, with the bitter after taste of comming home a bit late.

Today we were celebrating the birthday of Lucca's grandma (a few days late). We ate at some restaurant in Den Haag and it was cosy as usual. We did the same thing in March (I think) at the same restaurant. I don't know if you ever eaten indonesian food but some stuff is really hot. After eating what I thought was gonna be sweet fruit i almost got a cough attack with burnmarks in my mouth. The rest of the meal I avoided eating everything red. But its really nice, if you just know how the stuff tastes before you eat it so you know it wont hurt you :)

Btw, the word of yesterday was "handschoenen" (gloves). That means hand-shoes and made me laugh.

Void

So, another post when I'm bored. I just got quake3 to work on my pda which was yesterday nights mission. It failed last night and I had to hard reset the pda to get it to work again. Ah blah it needed a cleanup anyways. I'll attach a picture here with the result.

Other than that geeky stuff, Lucinda has been away for some days now. A studdy trip to Antwerpen. I know it was fun cause she has been going out for three days in a row now. Studdy trips... arent they wonderful? ;) Anyways, Im gonna go pick her up at R'dam C in a while.

What else is on the board.. well I have a work interview on monday which Im a bit excited about. They liked the test results and the CV was fine too apparently. So far so good. Last time I was at the interview I was not this motivated. It was a really long trip and it just sucked, the company seemed alright but I have to keep some standards when it comes to getting there. Im gonna spend a whole lot of time on the rails, so its a big deal.

Christmas is comming up, or at least in my mind. I usualy dont think about christmas until 20 dec when its really way to late to get any good of gifts cause you just need to get them fast, but this time im going home and I have to find all gifts and stuff before that so it freaks me out a bit, even in mid november.

I watched war of the worlds one night here. It sucked. It was like half life 2 except for that in half life 2 it fits better and is not so over the top with invasions. Yea, and Half life 2 is probably the best game I've played to date. At least singleplayer. I'd love a good mod to that game that is NOT counter-strike or any ww2 shit. ITS SO 1999! A cool mod that would keep the combine idea but make the weapons better balanced than in Deathmatch and make teamplay a great factor. But yea the movie sucked, just to predictable and sucky.

Now off for some Half Life 2... damn its addictive...and lovely. Its so... autumn, and thats fitting.
